Shortly after the release of WordPress update 4.9.3, WordPress made it known that there was a critical WordPress Update Bug that affected the auto update feature we have enjoyed since 2012. Thankfully, the WordPress team released WordPress update 4.9.4 that solves this issue.

You will have to manually update to WordPress update 4.9.4 to fix the bug issue from WordPress update 4.9.3. Simply login to your WordPress dashboard and click on the update icon and update to the latest version of WordPress.

So, if you have not done so already, simply login and update to the latest version of WordPress as it is the only way to have auto updates restored.
